Very possible. The point of a rendering is to generate something that is photo-realistic. If so, then that would make this discussion moot.

However, every one of the faces being so obviously blurred (as though all were in motion) is very suspect and almost certainly intentional. I find it difficult to believe this is a limitation of the rendering software - which I think is your point... that it can be next to impossible to tell the difference between a good rendering and an actual photograph.

I'd think the blurred faces are more likely to protect real identities - hence an actual photo.
