Now that is a different matter....and I have made comment to that effect.

I follow every thing that Actel is doing....Actel has taken and gotten a deal with ARM to create a soft core. The only reason ARM allowed it was because of the security built into the platform...based on flash... devised into the same sub straight as the programmable processor.

What that means is some one is not going to run off with or hack the ARM IP....in the soft core state.
Basically that is a stored map of the processor platform.....FPGS create the processor on the fly...pulling the map from secure memory.

Nivida...has a deal of their own relating to ARM and will not be a soft core development.

Actel is on my list....
