Yes, but EDIG made it ‘official’ with this PR. Why they hadn’t done so before when Jet2, Mezzo, and Shepard? were already reporting this, I don’t know. It may have had to do with their legal issues, their agreement with Mezzo, or their own policy with regards to when they announce (after deliveries are completed?). In any case, I’m glad they finally DID announce this.

No. That’s Silverjet. Jet2 has several planes (I believe a recent post just answered this). It’s possible that EDIG might also ‘officially’ announce Silverjet in the near future.

- Is Jet2 the "major European carrier"?

That’s a good question. My original impression was that they were not but it depends on how you interpret this line from the 12/21 update: "We are also in the process of finalizing our first IFE orders to a major European airline." I’d now have to say they meant Jet2 since they probably didn’t mean they were finalizing orders ‘on paper’, but actual orders - plus Jet2, while already known, was unannounced at that time. They are now in trials with two major airlines (one of them being ‘among the world’s largest’).

- One year since the patent enforcement initiative announced. And what have we seen of it besides lip service?

We’ve heard about Pat Nunally and that at least 174 companies and 1372 products have been identified. While this hasn’t seriously affected our share price, my sense of it is that they are very diligently doing their homework and getting their ducks all in a row before making any major announcements. I’d like the IP monetization efforts to really mean something once they start cutting loose - so if it has to remain quiet until they’re fully prepared, then I can live with that. Key information on this front could come next month or it could be another 6 months before we know much more. I DO think we’ll hear something substantial about this before the end of the year.

Yeah, I sense a little frustration. I've been expecting news. This wasn't it.

No it wasn’t but I think it’s a beginning of sorts. Jet2 was an important order and I think this announcement basically demonstrates that everything fell into place with it. Remember now that this is e.Digital, so that’s saying something. This was a win and hopefully success will breed success.

And where are we re: litigation with Wencor? Maybe I missed it....but weren't they going to update us by the end of Jan? Now end of Feb.

I think there was some additional information in the last 10Q - which was basically all they promised. I imagine this will be an on-going issue for some time to come. However, again my sense is that it’s nothing that will seriously hamper the business. Clearly eVU sales and marketing efforts have not ceased, and I think that this is ultimately a dead issue - it just hasn’t stopped moving yet. I’m personally not even worried about it anymore since a FINAL decision that MIGHT affect us is probably several months if not years away.
