I offer this only for thought and not to start a major thread on immigration. I would submit that there are "native" Sioux, Seminole, Apache, Navajo, etc., etc."American" is a term that could only have come into usage after the explorer of the same name came here. Native American is a PC term and not one that can correctly be applied to American indian tribes. JMHO
