You may be right, but I wouldn't be terriblly unhappy with a diverse contract pile for eVUs...that will keep the lights on much longer than the first mean ole copy cat(s) being put "on notice".
If you were sent a "notice" would you check to see if the company sending the notice can pay their light bill before calling your favorite patent attorney? I suspect many of the mean ole copy cats have never heard of EDIG so they might do the easy stuff...Run a D & B at a minimum? Quick look through Edgar? Buy an EDIG coffee mug?
IMO, the short and near term road will be paved with revunues from eVU. If not, the road will be as rocky as Old Tobacco Road. The IP road to riches is "on spec" until we have representation by a credible sugar daddy legal team. However, I would love to be wrong and we see a big announcement on IP moving forward with XXX companies already on notice. Just not ready for the hype until we see the whites of their eyes.
Once on board, you are very right about IP being the quickest way to a much better pps. Any credible legal firm will have done a ton of DD prior to biting this one off. This is the stuff that gets your name on the door.
