"With the right pricing strategy, that is possible if the patents are everything we are lead to believe."
As a software solution, the level at which e.Digital integrates component sets is minimal. It's an orchestration between logic(processor) and memory. The memory can be non-volatile or volatile. As a non-volatile, the memory does not have to be flash, it can be any type of media. It all depends on how it's to be utilized...such as...Actel creating the flash within the cell structure of the logic..you can not utilize a crystalline production(PRAM) in the process.
It's the intermediate process between the media and the logic that IMO is e.Digitals golden egg. That intermediate process is a method gained because of other novel and patented claims. IMO...it does not matter what the behind the scene mechanisms are driving such a process for e.Digital to claim infringement, as they will be very similar in nature if not the same.
Especially if NAND flash is involved, as it does not have an ability to boot on it's own like NOR.
XIP Nand will be e.Digital targets...it needs the intermediate process.
