My guess EDIG will only be leasing for now. That way there can be no confusion/issue about who owns the tech. "We leased it to you," they can say. "We didn't sell you anything." When EDIG has more clout they can license the tech to others who are distributing the unit, much like a cell phone. All just my opinion of course. Of course they could make sure the contract is air tight and sell just the unit.
