in the following product categories: cell phone, PDA/Pocket PC, portable A/V recorder, digital camera, camcorder, and other portable device industries are a lot of flash market sales that have occurred over the past decade...and which will likely be projected out into the future as the $25 Billion Flash market continues to expand over time.
The 174 companies have multiple products which indicates infringement of EDIG's intellectual property on several levels. One would have to guess that bears more pressure on these companies to settle as the joint damages over a decade or more of product sales could yield very large settlements, especially considering the 80% success rate in favor of the plaintiff on the "rocket docket", assuming that is the venue Duane Morris selects.
Not unlike a pharmaceutical that issues PRS of new drug trials that follows with market anticipation of "future" value, the naming of the first infringer will be a most interesting time for EDIG....especially knowing there are 173 more companies standing in line for the same scrutiny.
No doubt Pat Nunally and Duane Morris LLP get this, hence their involvment (contingency) and the most recent appreciation of the stocks value based on those announcements alone....a sign of things to come.
A Texas Instruments, Intel, Sony, Samsung, Portalplayer, Toshiba outing will bring much needed attention to what we know is about to transpire.
Think investors don't consider the upside opportunity from $.25 knowing what we know??? I can't wait to watch the light bulb go on as upcoming company communications go public with details of the market sales in these already named product categories.
