The  street  doesn't  care  for  1st  tier  price  discounts

But  more  important  as  our  resident  Lawyer  should  agree  that  ANYTHING  can  happen  in  court , There's  no  100% guarantee  in  the  court  room .

If  PTSC  wins  the  case  against  originally  5  large  co. ( now 2 )  how  many  more  co.'s  will  choose  to  fight ?

On  the  other  hand  if  PTSC  loses  the  case  or  some how  the  patent  is  deemed  invalid  how  many  co.'s  will  just  hand  over  cash .

FUD  keeps  it  in  this  range  till  the  case  or  markman  is  over !
