I transferred some money from my checking account into eTrade. As I recall, previously when I've done this the money was available immediately. This time the message from eTrade says it will be available for trading on the 6th business day after the transfer. Is my memory faulty and it's always been this way or is it something new? So all the online brokerages do this? My message to eTrade is unanswered as of this morning.
