April 25, 2007 – DIGECOR digEplayer handheld IFE devices form part of a new premium service just launched by Aeroflot of Russia.  

The carrier has introduced the President class on its transatlantic Boeing 767 services and on flights to Asia lasting six hours or longer. The package starts with dedicated check-in desks, priority baggage handling and full access to executive lounges, and continues with lie-flat seats, extra space and privacy, à la carte dining and digEplayer AVOD inflight entertainment.

Utah-based digEcor announced at the beginning of the year that Aeroflot had doubled its digEplayer holdings. “This new shipment to Aeroflot, plus more to come in the first quarter, will make that airline the second largest digEplayer user in the world, topped only by Alaska Airlines with its 3,000-plus units,” said digEcor CEO Brent Wood.
