Considering EDIG's past with Samsung (world's #1 CE maker), they are in many of the categories listed already. 

Samsung would be my WAG for a first shot over the bow...or Wencor if they are still being Richards...or Fuji if they still use the tech they may have nicked....or ???

We really have no way to predict a time line for IP info and I would bet DM will be mute until it is in their advantage to announce something. 

DM's interest will be to negotiate a deal, not pps growth for EDIG.  In theory, those two can go together, but PR for the sake of making noise is not going to happen, IMO.
