I read the counterclaim earlier this evening and IMHO I think eDigital intends to take this to trial and win. This was not a counterclaim that was written overnight in responce to Wencor's There is substance to each and every counterclaim. They make no reference to the amount of damages but in several instances they refer to damages being awarded in trial. I think this is a big deal and EDIG has an upper hand. We'll see how this all plays out. It could be the play is to go for their jugular just to get them off our back but the effort brought to this countersuit seems intended to take them down and out of the IFE part of their business. I am not a lawyer, but I'd appreciate any insights by those more familiar with the process at hand.
