From the digeplayer XT website:  "Even with all the upgrades, the new player boasts the proven, customer pleasing 10 hour battery life of the original digEplayer®."

From the Mezzo website: "IFE airline surveys – of clients and passengers – are regularly undertaken by MEZZO in keeping with the founders’ retail heritage and recent feedback from the client-side showed a repeat challenge faced by airlines using or considering Portable IFE: inconsistent battery life.  MEZZO already utilises reliable Portable IFE players with industry leading battery life of 12 hours but will set new benchmarks in the industry by guaranteeing the performance of batteries over the life of the MEZZO contract."

Gee, too bad digeplayer clients are missing out on another 20% of battery life that the eVU provides.  Maybe that's why there haven't been any new digeplayer clients announced since Dec 2006.  Why pay for an inferior product when the eVU is available?  Could also be that airlines are concerned the XT was designed using e.Digital IP that was illegally used and digecor will be forced to stop manufacturing them.

During technical discussions with digecor and DeCuir Inc., e.Digital provided proprietary and confidential information to them and all parties signed NDAs stating they would only use the information for legal negotiations on a development and manufacturing agreement for a next generation system.  However, negotiations for an agreement to have e.Digital develop the next generation player terminated in or about May 2005 so that digEcor and its agents were not authorized to use e.Digital’s confidential information in connection with digEcor’s next generation player project [XT].

Wolf Electronics was also given proprietary information and signed an NDA with e.Digital.  Upon information and belief, digEcor and its agents, including DeCuir and Wolf, have disseminated and/or used e.Digital’s confidential information in connection with the development of digEcor’s next generation player (“digEplayer XT”) in violation of the 2002 Agreement, other written and oral agreements of confidentiality, and implied duties of confidentiality.

Hey fatboy (BOW), you done screwed up mister.
