Interesting post.

Hmmm....just for speculation...would the Alliance research be worth real dollars on the open market?  They have most certainly convinced 19 of the larger tech companies in the world of their abilities to some degree as they have signed license deals.

If those Alliance engineering reports were added with information from other similar 'What's inside" patent cases for the purpuse of making a "data pool,"  somebody that sells data might be able to make a nickel or two.

Information means money these days -- I think some here know this far better than I do.  It would certainly be easier on current and future patent law firms and show who is and who is not a mean ole copy cat (MOCC) at least for the sake of negotiations.

For example, if MOCC#1 has already been shown to use CompanyA's IP, then some level of engineering docs exist on what MOCC#1 has going on inside it's tech dohickie.  That might be worth something ($$$) to CompanyB who wants to know it they should also sue MOCC#1.

It would be interesting to get LL's take on this one.
