I'm working from old memory but I seem to remember EDIG referencing an operating system called Ballens (or something like that) that assembeled it's data in blocks but could only be restructured by sequencing it thru RAM. Micro O/S, by contrast was able to take small data blocks and restructure them by passing them thru a cache. I'm pretty sure this was the only prior art refenenced in their patent and the reference is fairly explicit. Doni, I know you follow this and understand their patents better than most. Do you have any recollection / knowledge of what I'm referring to.
