Unfortunately for those who pay the bills, legal fees for a more simple trademark case can run $350K for a three month nightmare.  Our trademark attorney charges $650 / hour and is worth every nickel of it -- has prevailed over 10x in my eight years.

Our Houston based patent firm charges $750 / hour and they handle a lot of "Rocket Docket" cases in Marshall, TX where many of the big time suits are filed (PTSC is there).

Bottom line is the $1,000,000 in legal fees may barely scratch the surface if it is a year long ordeal just to get to court.

IMO, EDIG has good deal considering the alternative.
