Slow and Steady - flash patents

posted on Jul 29, 2007 09:52AM

I bought purely for technical reasons...with many posts of my opinions starting back in 1999.....

I understood the serial ramification the patents could/would bring to the industry and how they were doing it.

The patents relate directly to the linear or serial physical properties of NAND memory or any serial process.

I noted and posted way back, that the NOR Flash advocacy would face off with the NAND flash advocacy. Of the two types, neither had the ability to preform the ability of the other.

Combining the two abilities of each on one physical structure would be key. NAND is floating to the top because its easier to develop the density of a serial structure than it is for cross point (parallel) structure.

My investment strategy to a point, was to just ignore all the business related performance for a few years. With an understanding that status quo architecture and software counter parts are deeply pitted within the industry and nothing was going to take away from them in any speedy fashion. With that, I excepted the fact that it may or may not even happen.

Up to this point I have watched the process, with an understanding, unfold.
