I agree with every thing you state..
I'v always said, that the MOS, as composed under the patents, is not the only manner in which an OS can be fashioned under the published principles. If e.Digital licenses it's ideas to other companies, they would be able to compose an OS more to there liking to varying degrees of complexity.
For that reason, they will or should review efforts of others that reference particular patents of e.Digital.
IMO, it will be hard for others to come up with ideas to get around the foundation for the serialized process of e.Digital if not impossible.
