Message: Will DM establish link to iPod & iPhone?

In my previous post, it was noted that there are two layers....

"First, the one running in the main CPU, the main operating system (Mac OS X). Second, Nucleus running on a secondary chip controlling the access to the baseband's memory."

It is considered that the Nucleus is managing the low level functions There's no consideration of the high level functions, for which the MOS is also capable of. It can manage the attributes of a high level OS along with low level functions(bios).

There is also a consideration not mentioned, that being, the OS that operates with the SIM card(Smart card). If the SIM card is implemented as a "Dynamic Application System" it need's an OS such as, MULTOS, used on most cell phone SIM card memory. A SIM card for mobile GSM where updates and security are downloaded to the phone and dynamically changed would be an example.

MacOSx or Nucleus are not managing the functions for the Smartcard...so there are 3 layers they're dealing with.

My attention is on MULTOS and Dynamic Smart card, utilized for all types of ID business. There's also an applications development sector to consider.

MOS could bring all three layers together and, IMO, be potentially infringed at the 2nd and 3rd layers, depending on the memory and data structures managed.
