I think most have cell phones and have heard of the ipod.  Once a basic diagram illustrates what flash memory is and they note their cameras probably use some sort of flash memory, it's a matter of establishing the patent timing to market.  As mentioned in some patent articles posted previously, it is better to make the "story" understandable to the layperson, and I think most laypeople own the technology and use it daily.

I think it is an easy concept to illustrate.
