Has anyone else heard more about the battery tech?

e.digital CORPORATION showcases Enhanced eVU™

This week at Ife industry’s largest tradeshow

Enhanced eVU Features 12+ Hours of Battery Life,

Advanced Battery Safety and Wireless Content Loading

(SAN DIEGO, CA, September 12, 2006) – e.Digital Corporation (OTC: EDIG), a leading innovator of proprietary secure digital video technology and products, and the owner of important patents on the use of flash memory in portable devices, today announced it is showcasing its enhanced eVU mobile entertainment system and turnkey entertainment business solution in Booth #1015 at the 27th Annual World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) Exhibit and Conference. The in-flight entertainment (IFE) industry’s largest tradeshow is being held this week in Miami, Florida.

e.Digital’s proprietary enhanced eVU features rapid wireless content loading simultaneously to multiple devices, wireless credit card transactions, arcade-style video games enabled by Montreal-based DTI Software, an industry-leading 12+ hours of high resolution video playback on a single battery charge, advanced battery safety and other next generation features. eVU also features razor-sharp images on a 7” high resolution LCD screen, superb audio fidelity, dual stereo headphone jacks, embedded credit card reader/processor, touch screen capabilities, bright full featured graphical user interface and Hollywood studio-approved software/hardware security based on e.Digital’s patent pending technology.

“We launched our eVU mobile entertainment system earlier this year through customer trials and initial product deliveries to very favorable response,” said Will Blakeley, president and chief technical officer of e.Digital. “Our enhanced eVU makes it very easy to rapidly download and update content utilizing our industry-proven proprietary download application, and our battery life is hours more than other portable IFE devices.”

Addressing the issue of battery safety, Blakeley commented, “We have worked with our battery supplier to provide IFE customers with advanced battery safety. Our battery supplier performs incoming and outgoing inspection of battery cells through OCV, impedance and cycling tests to reject potentially defective cells prior to battery assembly.”

“In addition to eVU’s ability to monitor the internal battery status, it also has the capability of shutting down in the event of excessive current, charging, temperature, and discharging functions, e.Digital also enables advanced battery safety through fusing, charge limiting, and current detection and control circuitry. eVU also monitors and displays 26 battery health parameters.”

Blakeley concluded, “We believe eVU is the only next generation portable IFE system ready for delivery with advanced battery safety and other enhancements which we expect will prove valuable to airlines, their logistics providers, and their passengers.”

WAEA's Annual Conference & Exhibition is the premier event for the IFE industry.

The week long conference is the industry's largest tradeshow, featuring more than 150 exhibits with the latest in-flight products, systems and services.
