I think it is fairly evident from the words underlined below that the MOS software/process has been improved to enhance the battery life.
As this point we don't know if other companies, and the products which may have application for this new feature, will want to incorporate this function into their production. It may require a substantial change in the systems design and production of the products in question and may not be cost effective from their perspective.
Don't forget, we have no indication that our MOS is in use by anyone outside of e.digital. This new technology may not be enough of an incentive for any product modification.
(SAN DIEGO, CA – September 17, 2007) - e.Digital Corporation (OTC: EDIG) a leading innovator of dedicated portable inflight entertainment (IFE) systems and patented flash memory-related technology, announced today it is showcasing its new eVU Extended Range™ (eVU-ER™) portable entertainment system this week in Booth #1200 at the 28th Annual World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) Exhibit and Conference. e.Digital is demonstrating eVU-ER, which features the Company’s new power management technology and an industry-leading 20+ hours of continuous video playback from a single battery, at the in-flight entertainment industry’s largest tradeshow being held this week in Toronto.
“Our proprietary eVU-ER builds on the foundation of innovation we have established in dedicated portable IFE and raises the bar on battery life substantially,” said Will Blakeley, president of e.Digital.
