These guys have been around. They have been working with AIR CANADA IFE subsidiary, and Technic,( the Lufthanza subsidiary), to install this hard wired Fiberoptic system in more than 300 planes thus far...

I do recall reading the incident of fire in a plane caused by faulty wiring. A little help in finding more about that fire incident would be appriciated...

My interest here is the fact that Lufthanza is now a "customer" of EDIG, and this "Power Point" is a year old. The question to be answered is the fire problem solved by these guys? Or is Lufhanza shifting gears to the "SAFER?" eVUer?...
