 I'm a little confused here....is it an SD slot(Secure Digital) or a CF slot(Compactflash)?

 What do you mean by CF?

It's specified on your post as SD Cards Support to 1 GB , or on a Sman998 post as ,  Uses SD™ memory up to 2GB,  

 What ever the slot platform, even though e.Digital has a early claim of removable module, I will be totally surprised. That would mean they could go after anything with a slot, no matter what platform. 

 There are all kinds of media slot platforms patented.  IMO, infringement concerns are going to be deeper than that.
