``The fundamental difference in FPGA choices center around using a nonvolatile reprogrammable flash technology or a volatile SRAM based technology FPGA.``

http://www.fpgajournal.com/whitepapers_2005/actel_20050224.htm

Actel figures they`re on to something....and they are keeping it front an center....where the once leader in boot load flash was Intel NOR....these guys are managing execute in place NAND.....``The single chip and live at power-up (LAPU) capabilities of flash-based FPGAs dramatically simplifies the system level design and integration into the final product.with direct``

I`ve watched the whole arena evolve from the beginning...from what Intel had.. to Actel and now Samsung pressing the envelope...along with others.

However, I`m not giving up....and I`m not an unknowing reckless investor... as the one I previously responded to.

If that is in fact what that person is...I believe there`s something else to that poster.

News......?? could happen from out of the blue and catch you all off guard.

If it doesn`t work out....at least I tried....without regrets....because I do see the industry evolving..in bits and pieces.. to what e.Digital does.

When I see digital voice recording technology by the likes of Sony...Olympus...etc... come to market sporting the ability of what e.Digital is capable of....that will be the sign that it`s over for e.Digital.

If they felt that they needed to produce a consumer product to make a few bucks...for lack of tech adoption by others...why did they go the root of the MP3player ?

They`re not taking advantage of a prime technology they`ve patented that could sit along side any digital voice technology and blow them away....Why is that ?

It puzzles me why they dropped their prime technology
