"SanDisk had requested the investigation into infringement of patents used in semiconductor chips that manage the operation of flash memories used in memory cards, media players and other products."
Or, could be that Sandisk is going to try and congest the system. Do they see us coming?
Keep in mind...
BANS methods are based on a translation process to convert CHS (cylinder head sector addressing) to LBA (logical block addressing). and keep track of virtual files to make it happen. When he patented and published his methods he lacked the foresight to have much more than that.
e.Digitals method is not a translation process per se. It's an OS that functions at the same embedded level with a complete complement of API. They do not translate CHS to LBA in order to make things happen for higher level OS's.
e.Digitals file system directed through its API, has an ability to manage the attributes of higher level OS's. In doing, file creation and management is passed through to the embedded level and orchestrated on e.Digitals proprietary structured environment.
