I kinda wonder if when PTSC told us it had been in discussions with a company to merge with back when it only had the 'Flash Portfolio Comming Soon' on its site they may have been talking about e.Digital because IMVHO MOS could glue all this security into a relm that only e.Dig can go with its embedded bit-mapping for flash encription features/functions.
Remember these security platforms were/are primarly geared to our gov/military systems.
IntellaSys Unveils Industry's First 128-Bit, Hardware-Encrypted Controller Chip for USB 2.0 NAND Flash Memory Used in Thumb Drives

''IntellaSys specializes in developing distributed digital media semiconductor solutions including: multicore processors, Flash media storage products and content secure connectivity devices.''
The TPL Group acquired the CORE Flash Portfolio when it acquired OnSpec Electronic Inc. in April 2006. The portfolio includes 15 U.S. and international patents and 14 patent applications. CORE Flash Portfolio innovations protect key aspects of flash memory management and control, including software, firmware, hardware, and mechanical designs.
Now see/think about this aspect, IMHO they know what the future holds:

Maybe one day Woody'll get it all together...
Regardless - I like this part:
Note: The IntellaSys site is being revamped and a SEAforth community forum will be added. The new site will be launched in January 2008.
SEAforth processors execute 24 BILLION Forth instructions per second! We plan on shaking some things up in the embedded controller environment. It will certainly be fun watching that happen, but if you want to take part, register. IntellaSys plans on being a center of Forth information, a gathering place for Forth developers and users, a clearing house for Forth-related information.
Where's all the visionaries at around here.
