understandable....business is tough all round...no matter what they might delve into.

The large CE manufactures dictate and compete against each other in the general markets for the consumer, while at the same time, they compete at/for technological advancement. Can't be king of one without being on top of the other. 

Flash is consolidating the business from ROM(read only memory) to ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) with reprogrammable component sets.  e.Digitals added effect of consolidation is with discrete manipulation of flash matrix through a condensed process of RAM. While still allowing for a high bandwidth, along with integrated high and low level I/O management.

I don't know where e.Digital stands in all the consolidation, I do know that they offer tech making them part of it.
