So if sunpoop and I are correct in our individual interpretations of DM's decision to not license but rather go for a one time settlement, what reasons can you give for that decision? I understand the reasons for licensing, but I think that comes with a smaller upfront settlement.

Keep in mine that RP stated that to me many months ago, very early in the process. Sunpoop's info is likely more current.

Considering that only one case has been filed I am sure DM could structure each deal with its own individual circumstances...so there might not be just one approach.
