You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
From the posts here it seems to me that most feel the way you do and would sell "far before" that number. "If and when" the time comes and we find ourselves climbing steeply in the face of everyone selling, your 20k share might be worth as much as what you sold earlier... :)
