Something Old, Something New!

Something Old - Hamburg is once again playing host to the world’s largest aircraft interiors event; more than 500 exhibitors are getting ready to unveil some of the industry’s latest innovations in everything from inflight entertainment and seat designs to lightweight flooring and emergency equipment at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2008. Following industry trends closely some of the emerging themes at this year’s show include the ever-increasing push to develop lighter weight materials, for use in all areas of the cabin interior, driven by environmental as well as economic factors. The design of aircraft interiors for first, business and economy class is a matter of high importance to airlines as they seek to enhance the cabin environment and differentiate themselves from competitors. The exhibition will showcase the latest ideas in areas such as passenger seating, cabin lighting and, inflight entertainment. This show will probably be the highest attendance of airlines and IFE hardware vendors and that makes it a "don't miss". In terms of attendance levels, Aircraft Interiors Expo anticipates breaking its record set last year when 11,700 attendees, including senior representatives of more than 120 airlines, thronged the halls to see the latest developments in cabin interiors. After undergoing extensive redevelopment in the past couple of years, visitors will be able to benefit from the Hamburg Messe’s new catering, press and VIP center facilities this year. Reed Exhibitions has recently committed to Aircraft Interiors Expo 2009 taking place in Hamburg from Tuesday March 31 to Thursday April 2, 2009. Aircraft Interiors Expo spokesman James Reader said: "To accommodate the growth potential of the show the event will move into some of the refurbished halls at the venue. This will allow us to offer both more space to exhibitors but also to introduce new features to the show." Aircraft Interiors Expo takes place from 1-3 April 2008 at the Hamburg Messe in Germany. This is the largest dedicated aircraft interiors event in the world and will see companies exhibiting the full spectrum of technologies and products for airline constructors and operators.
