“To date, thirteen airlines have made our dedicated portable eVU IFE system their inflight entertainment choice through new and follow-on orders,” commented Will Blakeley, president of e.Digital. “Our proprietary digital video/audio device (DVAP) technology provides significant advantages over consumer-based and PC-based devices including, 20+ hours of battery life, superior digital video and audio quality, and the ability to easily customize and update content.”
“In just a few months, we have made significant progress on porting our core technology to a lightweight, flexible embedded solution for individualized on-demand IFE entertainment,” continued Blakeley. “We believe that joint efforts with major airline and airframe companies will yield an embedded eVU system that will offer improved reliability, substantial product and weight/fuel cost savings, and other benefits that would facilitate fleet-wide orders.”
“Due to significant new and follow-on business opportunities and the associated travel involved, we are moving our shareholders meeting to next quarter,” added Blakeley. “Also, our intellectual property team is working to finalize the detailed legal and technical documentation necessary to support additional Flash-R™ patent portfolio enforcement actions against a group of companies who have over $20 billion in annual U.S. revenues derived from what we believe are infringing products.”
Concluded Blakeley, “We remain on track for reporting record revenues for our fiscal year ending March 31, 2008 and, through new and ongoing business developments, we’re positioning e.Digital for a successful fiscal 2009.”
