So if WENCOR is saving DELTA $58 million under the agreement mentioned in the article, do you suppose WENCOR is going to have too hard a time to sell DELTA a version of the digEplayer...
I agree with your thought process here, it seems that Wencor would definatley have the inside track with Delta because of their agreement, but, just to keep the facts straight:
I think the story that you referenced is from a deal between Wencor and Delta in July of 2003. Here is that PR. If you notice, Aviation Today always has the current day`s date showing, regardless of what you may be looking at in their archive. At the bottom of the page you referenced, notice it says `Back to this month`s issue`. Also notice a quote from Delta`s Mike McHale is basically identical in both stories:
http://www.aviationtoday.com/cgi/am/show_mag.cgi?pub=am&mon=0304&file=0304commercial.htm
``Delta is engaged in innovative arrangements with many of our key suppliers to lower our total cost of ownership,`` said Mike McHale, Delta`s director of supply chain management. ``This PMA development agreement will contribute significantly to that goal while improving the competitive landscape for the entire industry.``
