The base of edigs patents are the logical overlay and API's...(software) as they reside over the memory matrix for a particular arrangement...depending on device and capability wanted. Equally important, the the interface to that overlay through the API's by way of the microcontroller, pulling together a particular API set sequence along with configured devices for a desired result. It's all pulled together with software....where(if a file is being created form a sequence of events) the desired result is pushed into the proprietary logical overlay and the physical bits of the memory are programed or reset to match.
You have the ability to mix it up and add into the sequence other IP...such as AD' and DA's, ...what ever, through low level management, as I explained in an earlier post. The process makes it very adjustable.
Can others do workarounds? If they create a logic scheme over memory(software) with an interface to it having a similar microcontroller linkage to the APIs, are they infringing?
IMO, yes...no matter how they set it up...in a simple form or advanced form....the ideas belong to e.Digital.
There are other considerations, but for the most part, that is the heart.
