"After all, edig has been "going around" Mezzo with other airlines. That can't be something that makes them happy"

I don't think this should shock anyone, especially Mezzo. After all, they agreed to this arrangement up front. Obviously EDIG was not interested in an exclusionary sales agreement chosing, instead, to retain the right to sell it's product to whomever it wanted. Even under these conditions, Mezzo decided the product was the right one to to gain entry into the IFE market. After that, Mezzo could and should re-assess it's position and act in it's own interests. Many business relationships have shorter life spans than your average day lily. Why should this one be any different?

We're not sure Mezzo has jumped ship . If they have, there are a myriad of good reasons to do so. Who knows? Hopefully, we'll know, shortly.

In the immortal words of Don Ameche, "Things Change".
