I cannot find where it says Mezzo offers other than eVu's for its IFE business. In fact the post where EDig and Mezzo argreed to partner was just put up and seems to indicate that Mezzo had found the IFE product (evU) it was searching for. I don't know what is meant by a "wide array" of handsets in Mezzo's PR but we all know Mezzo's business, airlines it serves and the just about how many IFE's it has put out.

It just doesn't seem to me that Mezzo would have a "wide array" of different handsets from a group of different producers because it just doesn't have that many customers nor handsets on those customers airlines. In other words would a Mezzo have a "wide array" say 5 companies other than EDig selling 5 different handsets to them when they only have (how many??) 10-15 airlines they have as customers and NONE OF THEM have need of thousands of handsets. In fact most are small airlines most likely using hundreds, not thousands of handsets.

If that above scenario were true then the "wide array" of handsets being sold to Mezzo by all suppliers would be miniscule, hardly worth the effort in my mind. Would Panasonic be interested in selling Mezzo 50 units or so???? I don't think so, nor would IMS or EDig for that matter.

The key word that still gets me which I wish was more specific is "SYSTEM". Just what is meant by system??? In my previous post I alluded to it being an "embedded" system because of what the word system means. Maybe I was wrong about that and the reference to system means how individual handsets are utilized, programmed, charged....etc.....Still the word "system" does not denoted a single entity. It denotes connectivity of something "like a company computer system" that allows an office in New York to utilize the same services an office in Denver to use. They are connected not individual.

Perhaps I am hung up here and will most gracefully acknowledge my error if I am wrong. There is simply not enough information to draw any conclusions from.

However I still remain firmly convinced the relationship between EDig and Mezzo is strong. We have heard nothing to the contrary and if thats the case the post of the original argreement of business between Mezzo and EDig states Mezzo to be quite pleased with the "workhorse" of the IFE industry, the eVu.

So if Mezzo is pleased with the eVu and wished to upgrade it service to its customers just why in the hell would it entertain business elsewhere??? Would it not make more sense to call WB and say "look Will this is what we wish to do to upgrade our service to our customers, can you do it for us, which or course EDig could.....

I simply cannot see Mezzo going elsewhere, after all it doesn't utilize that many units. "Wide array" could simply mean the eVu being put to many different uses, or utilizing many different offerings, like movies, tv shows, games, gambling, etc......????
