Assumption: APS (now Wencor) owns the digEplayer product shell and name and EDIG owns the guts design which includes a security platform approved by major studios.
Wencor had to review all APS trademarks during their DD to aquire. IMO, the only reason Wencor bought APS was the trademark. So, as you said, ``edig technology could be bootstrapped into their strategy.`` Maybe, inside AND outside the IFE biz.
In addition, about 45 days ago I asked RP if EDIG had a separate sales team involved in non-IFE sales of the digEplayer (sold by Wencor) and / or a kino platform. He answered via voice mail and said ``Yes, they had ``other`` sales representatives involved.`` Since these are not EDIG employees (my assumption), they have 3rd party sales presentations being made on their behalf by Wencor and / or independent entities.
Bottom line: These Wencor guys have their act together and have had the vision of expanding their market since the very beginning of their EDIG / APS relationship.
Again, I see no reason why Wencor would obligate so many resourses to their emerging IFE business (other?) if they did not already have something in the bag. IMO, the only questions are ``How much will it benefit EDIG?`` and ``When?``
