April 26, 2008 – HANDHELD IFE supplier digEcor has announced that its digEplayer XT second-generation player has been selected as the primary entertainment offering for premium passengers on the three Boeing 747-400s operated by existing customer Garuda Indonesia.

Utah-based digEcor, which has recently seen its market leadership vigorously challenged by IMS of California, says that the Garuda decision was prompted by the XT’s high-quality finish and robustness, elegant design and a content selection tailored to the passenger demographic on the airline’s 747 routes to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Tokyo Narita.
