I was in a Sharper Image last night and was looking at the ARCHOS version of our KINO device. They are asking $499 for that item.
The marketing campaign appears to be zilch so apparently they have learned little from Apple on how to market to that prime demographic.
My teenager, who is ipod armed at this point in time, was not aware of the product as I showed it to her...now that`s a sad commentary on their marketing department.
The product didn`t look bad but it appears doomed, not unlike so many MP3 players who missed their opportunity to leverage a huge potential market.
Let`s hope we get some action on the KINO front soon with an OEM who has a clue about marketing.
