"There is growing evidence oil is abiotic."

Really? You mean all those tiny live thingamajigs that died and settled in our primordial oceans had nothing to do with the formation of what we now call fossil fuels? Sounds biotic to me.

I'd appreciate a reference as to the abiotic theory. Always willing to learn something.

BTW....sugar based ethanol....not corn... is one way to go. Too much energy required to convert corn to alcohol as opposed to sugar.....let alone the deleterious effect on the prices of corn related food products. Sugar is soooo much more efficient. Louisiana's Gov mentioned their effort to go with sugar to alcohol. My bet is they can make it much cheaper than using corn. It would be a hell of a boost to their economy. Of course, I doubt if the sugar lobby has the clout of the corn lobby? :>) What a boondoggle corn ethanol has become. Gladly, it's finally becoming public knowledge.

Which leaves me with electric cars. Question.....If all of a sudden all our cars were electric, where would we get the humongous amount of additional electrical energy to charge them? What fuel would we use to produce it? Sounds a bit circular. :>)

S'nuff OT. No mo!
