Panasonic is reported to be telling content providers that its offering will be ready for a security check by the third quarter of this year. Other sources suggest that the new product will differ significantly from the standalone PEA and digEplayer, delivering its content not from an integral hard disc but wirelessly from an onboard head-end server.
