With this in mind, where is the sense in choosing this over the digeplayer? Unless I am missing something, it seems as though a logical and responsible decision would not be the PEA.

Of course, there may be professional relationships to be preserved between companies. But still, the bottom line IS customer satisfaction. (and egg on your face)
