...However, EDIG is a public company, and should throw us a bone.
I`m sure everyone wants the same, myself included. However, if we put on our Wencor shoes for a stroll, we might think Wencor is protecting the minor deals it has in it`s back pocket to announce a major deal which is not complete or cannot be announced at this time -- no way to know which. My guess is the big guys do not want their new customer service to be seen as ``me too.`` They want a custom system that is better than the next guys or has a feature better than the next guys.
If, great BIG IF, a legacy carrier has signed a deal for big portable numbers or the new embedded system, that airline would not want any PR until they were ready to announce the new service to their customers. Wencor would not want EDIG to announce anything that could rain on their parade. EDIG is just one part of the entire IFE package. We like to think it is the most important part. However, the Chapter 11 and 7 Club is full of companies with good products that had no idea how to market them. Thank you Wencor.
I wonder....if Goodyear had a new tire design to be used on a new GM car. If the car was to be introduced in Sept, would Goodyear be allowed to announce the tire design and the car early? My guess is no. The new tire is just part of the entire new car package.
all worth the price paid...
