my hope is....some how we are going after Vivitar for a technical decision relating to a serialized CMOS imaging capture process. If this is what is being considered and we get a favorable Markman ruling, this case will unfold the digital camera industry in an unbelievable fashion.

IMO, they're after Vivitar for something other than device management or flash data storage.

CMOS image sensors started out as a cheap way to get around the CCD sensor patents of the Japanese. For the most part, CMOS is utilized for the cheaper camera lines(US markets)....while the CCD is utilized for the more expensive lines controlled by the Japanese.

Some day we're going to see what it's all about...my gut feeling is, with regard to Vivitar, we're after a ruling on image sensor tech.
