From the background posted the other day on 802.11a vs b my understanding is that the range of the a type is limited to about 60 ft, but the advantage is the bandwidth and delivery of content is significantly improved. It would seem that live TV might be possible b/c of the type they selected. Of course it all depends on the source of the signal....If it`s Row 44 then they`re a division of Hughs / Direct TV / Fox. If the outcome is IMS and they`re TDL then I`m not sure what their capabilities are. Sounds like they are more terrestrial....which would mean no live TV.
Hard to say at this point where this is headed....but it is safe to say that this is all very positive.
