Larry - interesting thought, but I think I need a little help here. Isn`t the IMS system being applauded just a system for uploading content from outside the aircraft to inside the aircraft, when parked? Or is it just for transmitting content within the aircraft? Either way, I`m apparently not getting a full appreciation of this particular technology. Seems we could (or have) developed ways of accomplishing the same objective without incorporating IMS tech (and without ``sharing the pie`` or licensing with IMS). What ever happened to the fiber-optics transmission approach? What`s so wrong about using 811.a?
