My comments were of how to get the cash out of two entities crossing paths on issues where they have not committed infringement directly.

"A settlement would indicate a favorable markman ruling and set the precedent for the next seven cases already filed."

A settlement in this case signifies to me nothing more than clearing up details....it does not come close to precedence until some judge or jury makes a decision and it placed on the record. You then carry that record forward.
