will the semi removable sim chips be a target.

Pre 3g phones have a Smartchip(sim)card slot. The chip has the network configuration partitioned on it with free space for user files...audio,video,still image...etc.

Problem is, the phone will not boot apps fully if the card is not in place.

With that, how will PN test the audio platform, if the phone will not function at all unless the card is in place?

It's not an easy audio test when it comes to cell phones. The chip is like the key to a vehicle, you do not get full functionality of accessories, until the key is in place.
