To me this means that rather than only get cash for the settlement eDig also got some rights to their patents. That would mean that eDig can use those patents in eDig's own products or ? ( package them with eDig's patents to create new products or to somehow make infringers more likely to sign ? ) This is just the meaning I get from the line. Others may see it the same or differently.
